Monroe Central’s girls golf team placed 11th out of 12 teams Saturday at the MC Golf Invitational.
Guering Catholic won the title with a 338, Pendleton Heights was 2nd at 357, and in 3rd was Muncie Central with a 388.
Rounding out the field – Delta was 4th at 397, South Adams 5th at 422, Madison-Grant 6th at 426, Daleville 7th at 446, Wapahani 8th at 449, Heritage Christian 9th at 465, Alexandria 10th at 479, Monroe Central 11th at 486, and Northeastern was incomplete.
Freshman Angelica Pfefferkorn took top honors on the back-up system after tying her freshman teammate Gabby Gilrowski with 78s. Third place went to Madison-Grant’s Gabby Rahr with an 83.
Monroe Central was led by freshman Kloe Shinn with a 115, while junior Cassi Buis shot a 122. Senior Maggie Ridge teed up a 124 and junior Jacy Weatherly shot a 125 for the day.
The Lady Bears will be back in action tonight at 5 p.m. at Union County.
