A weather delay did not stop the completion of the Mid-Eastern Conference girls golf match at Maplewood Saturday, as the Lady Bears finished 4th.
The weather did, however, force the event to be shortened to 9 holes.
Daleville won the event with a 234, edging Wapahani with a 236. Blue River was 3rd at 253, Monroe Central 4th at 262, Wes-Del was 5th at 271, Union’s team score was incomplete and Cowan and Randolph Southern did not field teams.
Daleville’s Bailey Teague was the MEC champion with a 49, while Wapahani’s Emily Rausch was runner-up with a 51.
Monroe Central junior Cassi Buis finished in 6th place to earn All-MEC honors with a 56, while junior Maggie Combs also earned all-conference honors placing 10th with a 64.
Freshman Kloe Shinn earned All-MEC honorable mention honors with a 15th place score of 66.
Juniors Maggie Ridge and Kinzie Williams each turned in 76’s on the day to round out the MC scorecard.
Congratulations to all the Lady Bears.
