Monroe Central’s junior high football team is now 7-0 after whitewashing Shenandoah Wednesday night on the road, 32-8.
For the second game in a row the game was tight at the half with the Bears on top 14-8. But the offense kicked it in gear and outscored the Raiders 18-0 in the second half to get the win.
MC has now outscored opponents, 282-56, for a 40.3 offensive average and allowing 8 points a game. The defense has allowed only 16 points in the first half of those seven games.
With two tests in a row under their belts against unbeaten Wes-Del (a 38-22 win) and now new MEC foe Shenandoah, the Bears will hit the road for their season finale at Tipton next Tuesday, October 10.
