Multiple Teams · Wyatt Snyder named Randolph Co Athlete of the Week

Senior Wyatt Snyder, a member of the 4th ranked Monroe Central football team, has been named  the Randolph County “Athlete of the Week” sponsored by WZZY/Star 98.3FM in Winchester and the Wetzel Auto Group.

Snyder gave Monroe Central the early lead with a 25 yard TD run in the sectional opener against Clinton Central in which Monroe Central advanced to the 2nd round of post-season play with a 57-6 win.

Snyder later went unscathed for a 75 yard score and kicked the PAT.

Snyder did it all Friday night as he threw  for 41 yards, rushed for 107 yards, and  kicked three PATs in the game.

On the defensive side, Snyder intercepted two passes, one he returned 48 yards and was tackled just short of the goal line. He also deflected three passes.

For the year, Snyder has 767 yards rushing and 14 rushing touchdowns. He has 213 receiving yards and 2 TDs. He leads the Bears with 1209 all-purpose yards and 127 points.

On defense Snyder has 46 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, and a forced fumble.
