Monroe Central’s junior varsity girls defeated Madison-Grant and Daleville this week to improve to 11-0 on the year.
Tuesday night the JV Ladies blanked Madison-Grant over the 2nd and 3rd quarters en route to a 54-9 win.
MC led 16-6 after one quarter and extended that to 29-6 at the half. By the end of the 3rd period it was 38-6.
Brooke Bolton had an 11 point 2nd quarter in leading MC with 15 points. Hannah McCollum scored 12 with three three-pointers and Ally Morrison had 9. Mabrey Buis and Gabby Beckham each scored 6 and with 2 apiece were Taegan Eiler, Allison Hoening, and Destiny Armour
Thursday night Monroe Central’s JV raced out to a 26-7 lead and went on to defeat Daleville, 47-27.
The JV Ladies held Daleville to one point in the 2nd quarter and led 39-9 after three. Daleville hit 4 three-pointers in the 4th quarter and cut into the final deficit with an 18 point effort.
Morrison led the way with 12 points, while getting 8 apiece were Brooke Bolton and McCollum. Hoening scored 6, Armour had 5, Beckham scored 4, and Tori Gill and Buis each netted 2.
The 11-0 JV Ladies will host Eastern Hancock next Wednesday, December 27 at 6 p.m. The JV will also be playing Alexandria at Wapahani next Friday, December 29 in a morning contest.
