Coed Varsity Track · MC track teams run at Purdue University

Monroe Central’s girls and boys varsity track teams ventured to Purdue’s historic Lambert Field House Saturday to compete in the Hoosier State Relays  – McCutcheon
Maverick Qualifier.

“It was great to put all the kids in events on a Big Ten facility,” said Coach Preston Proctor.

New indoor school records were set by senior Nick Mitchell in the 55 m dash with a blistering 7.02 and in the 55 m High Hurdles in 8.12. Senior Marissa Huddleston also set a new school record in the 55 m dash with a time of 7.78.
“We are hoping those times and some relays can make it to the Indoor State Championship set for March 24 at Indiana University,” Proctor said.

The regular outdoor season begins April 3 at Elwood in a triangular meet with Wes-Del.
