Saturday night the inaugural All-Star nasketball games took place at Northeastern High School between the MEC and TEC.
The TEC swept the games winning the junior contest 60-48 and slipping away with a 69-66 senior game win. It should be noted that all not schools were able to send representatives due to the Saturday night proms.
Matt Poole represented MC in the junior game, scoring two points, blocking a pair of shots and hauling in a handful of rebounds during his time on the court.
Senior Israel Nash represented the Bears in the senior game and led all scorers with 20 points. Nash also had a pair of three-pointers roll around the rims and off in the waning seconds of the game which could have tied it and sent it to overtime.
It was estimated that 800 to 1,000 people attended the games.
