Girls Middle School Track · JH Ladies race past Driver with season best performance


The Monroe Central Jr. High Ladies’ track team defeated county rival Driver Wednesday night, 56-44. 28.

“A season best performances made this win happen,” said Coach Kristen Maurer.

Karly Puckett turned in first place finishes with season best performances in 3 events: 1600 M, 800 M, and 1600 M Relay.
Also placing 1st with season best performances were Macy Shinn (200 M), Taryn Armour (Long Jump), and Sami Farmer (Shot Put, Discus), and the 1600 M Relay team of Karly Puckett, Riley Cox, Addie Puckett, and Carol-Anne Kritsch.
Ryleigh Dougherty (High Jump) tied for 1st place.
Other scoring contributers were:
1st place – 400 M Relay team of Taryn Armour, Alex McGrath, Macy Shinn, Riley Cox
2nd place – Kathleen Osborne (1600 M), Carol-Anne Kritsch (400 M), Taryn Armour (Long Jump)
3rd place – Taryn Armour (100 M), Addison Coe (1600 M), Addy Puckett (400 M), Kathleen Osborne (800 M), Lilly Garner (200 M), Sami Farmer (High Jump), Alex McGrath (Long Jump), Peyton Gillespie (Shot Put).
“Mallary Haste, Maggie Haney, Liz Fiscus, Harmony Armour, Gracie Baker, Breanna Hale, Audrey Stoops, and Ariana Poe all improved in at least one event,” said Maurer.
The JH Lady Bears run at Daleville Wednesday, April 25.
