Girls Varsity Softball · Centerville gets past Lady Bears, 5-1

Monroe Central outhit Centerville Thursday evening but came up short on the scoreboard falling by a 5-1 score.

Centerville scored twice in the first inning and added two more in the fourth inning after MC had cut the lead to 2-1. The Lady Bulldogs added a run in the sixth to seal the win.


The Lady Bears out hit Centerville 6-3 led by Samantha Roderick and Faith Cope with 2 apiece. Cope also had the team’s only RBI of the game.

The Lady Bears travel to Knightstown tonight before defending their County Tourney title Saturday at home. MC will play Randolph Southern at 10 a.m.
