Class 2A 1st ranked South Adams improved to 21-2 Monday night with a 10-1 win over Monroe Central.
It kicked off the start of 4 consecutive games for the Bears, who are now 11-10.
The Starfires led 3-0 when the Bears got their only run of the night in the 3rd inning. South Adams bounced back with 4 in the bottom of the 3rd then scored a single tally in the 5th and two more in the 6th.
Chandler Hoel started and went 2 1/3 innings, while Tyler Haney worked 2 2/3 innings. Braden Case and Seth Wilson also saw time on the hilll as South Adams collected 10 runs, 9 earned runs on 10 hits and seven walks. MC committed four errors in the game also.
The offense was led by Wilson who singled and scored the Bears lone runl. Taft Manship also singled in the game while Casey Conatser walked twice, and Wilson and Jordan Willen one time apiece.
The Bears will host Cowan tonight, Winchester Wednesday and wind up the season on Thursday with Wapahani.
MC is right in the thick of the MEC race as Wapahani and Shehandoah lead with 5-1 marks, Eastern Hancock is 6-2, MC 4-2 and Daleville 3-2 entering the final week of play.
