Boys Middle School Track · JH Bears repeat as County champions

The Monroe Central junior high boys track team won their 2nd straight Randolph County Championship last night defeating 2nd place Driver, by 7 points. The Bears won with 82 points, Driver was 2nd at 75, Union City 54, Union 29, and Randolph Southern 8.

“The night was filled with outstanding performances and personal records,” said Coach Ross Braun.

Congrats to the following Randolph County Champions:

Brady Hiatt in the 400 meter run and Shot Put.
Carter Miler in the 1600 meter run and 800 meter run.
Briar Butler in High Jump.
The 4 x 400 relay team took 2nd, while others who placed 2nd were Isaac Morgan (100 & 200), and Brady Hiatt in the discus.
Easton Foster was 3rd in the high jump with a personal best 4′ 10, the 4 x 100 relay team was 3rd, and Ben Miner was 3rd in the shot put,
Caden Landis was 4th in the 1600 with a personal best (5:47.33) and Miner was 4th in the discus.
James Daniels was 5th in the 400 and Stetson Bennett in 100 hurdles.
“A big shout out to all of the 10 MC junior high boys who placed in the top 5 in various events that led to our championship victory,” said Braun.
