Mitchell finished 4th in the 110 M Hurdles in 14.76. The state qualifying time was 14.75 so Mitchell had to play the waiting game as they filled up the field for the state finals in the event. Mitchell advanced to the State meet in the 110 hurdles and is seeded 13th out of 27 who will compete.
In the 300 M Hurdles, Mitchell was 7th in 40.36.
Zane Kear was 15th in the 400 m race in a time of 52.41, just missing the school record.
The 4 x 400 relay team of Malcolm Armour, Dalton Winans, Kear and Mitchell placed 11th out of 16 teams with a time of 3:35.66.
Kamron Caldwell jumped 20′ 5 1/4″ and placed 13th at the Regional meet.

Coach Preston Proctor was one very proufdcoach Friday night.
“Proud to officially announce that Nick Mitchell has qualified for the 110 m Hurdles at the IHSAA State Championship meet. His future is so bright at Marian University as he will compete for Coach Mike Holman,” said Proctor Friday morning.
“Also proud to see junior Miranda Haney qualify for the State on June 1 in the High Jump. Miranda dominated that event all season with little competition. Her hard work and dedication have paid off. Such an honor to cap off another great track season with two state qualifiers.”
