Junior Miranda Haney saw her 2018 season end Friday evening at the IHSAA State Championships at Indiana University. She placed 19th out of a field of 28.
“Miranda beat two girls who had out jumped her at the Ben Davis Regional,” said Coach Preston Proctor. “It was a great end to the girls track season and hoping this trip will be repeated in her Senior year.”
Haney advanced from sectional by placing 2nd then received news the day after the regional her effort was good enough to get the invitation to the State Finals. Haney reached a season best 5′ 3″ and headed to the State meet ranked 17th out f 29 jumpers.
Leading up to the post-season effort, Haney was the lone MEC champion as she won the high jump title.
