7th Grade: Monroe Central’s 7th grade boys basketball team opened their season in dominant fashion with a 52–19 victory over Cowan. The Bears set the tone early with aggressive defense and efficient scoring, using a balanced attack that kept Cowan on their heels all game. Multiple players contributed on both ends of the floor, showcasing strong teamwork and energy from start to finish. It was a complete team win and an impressive statement to kick off the season. 8th Grade: The 8th Golden Bears traveled to Cowan for the season opener. The Bears had a slow first half going into the break down 11-10. The boys played a hard second half and came out on top 27-22. The Bears were led in scoring by Knox Myers with 19.
