7th Grade: The 7th Grade Lady Bears basketball team opened their season Tuesday evening. MC defeated visiting Burris and sent the Owls back to their roost after a 37-12 victory that saw all 13 Lady Bears see the court and contribute in the victory. The young Bears were led in scoring by Alexa Tinsman with 16. Delainee Whitehead had 13, Remmie Morrison had 4 and Scarlett Davis and Mabrey Cheesman added 2 each. The girls are back in action on Thursday as they play opening act in a Lady Bear Triple Header with the 8th Grade and Varsity. Go Bears!!! 8th Grade: The 8th grade girls basketball started their 25-26 season the a strong performance on both ends of the court defeat the Owls of Muncie Burris 67-0. All the girls scored in the game and contributed to the lock down defense. Scoring was led by Izzy McGrath 14, Gracie McCreery 11, Mila Morris 10, Mati McConnell 10, Landry Taylor 8, Claire Cheeseman 8, Lillie Morery 4 and Brynlee Dumpert 2. The Ladies will take on Randolph Southern at 6:00 on Thursday before the Girl's Varsity game.
