7th Grade: The 7th grade Lady Bears basketball team traveled to Wintucky on Monday evening for a matchup against Driver and kicked some Falcon tail - defeating the hosts 43-15 and improving to 3-0 on the season. The Bears got off to a slow start but came out guns blazing in the second half behind Scarlett Davis’s 9 second half points. Alexa Tinsman led the Bears with 11 points, Davis finished with 10, Remmie Morrison had 6. Delainee Whitehead, Mabry Cheesman and Alayna Dickson had 4 each and Emma Croyle and Harper Whitehead added 2 apiece. The Bears play next on Tuesday when they host the Shenandoah Raiders. GO BEARS!!! 8th Grade: The 8th grade girls basketball team continued their winning ways last night traveling to Winchester and defeating the Driver Hawks 44-14. Leading 22-12 at the half the young Bears played lock down defense in the second half only giving up 1 bucket. Key contributors were Brynlee Dumpert, Mati McConnell and Ada Wagner. Scoring for the Bears were Izzy McGrath 16, Landry Taylor 8, Mila Morris and Lillie Morery 7, Claire Cheeseman 4, Gracie McCreery 2. The next will be at home Monday against the Shenandoah Raiders.
