The varsity Golden Bears matched up against Winchester Tuesday night. The game started slow being tied 3-3 most of the first quarter before the Golden Bears got things rolling leading 11-5 at the end of the first quarter and 29-17 at halftime. The Golden Bears stayed in the driver seat for the second half leading 35-25 at the end of third quarter and winning the season opener with a final score of 57-46. The Golden Bears received crucial contributions from all team members. The team shot 14-19 from the free throw line and team scores are as follows: Ta’Shaun Beatty- 23; Luke Morgan- 10; LaDainian Isom- 6; Griffin Gannon- 6; Peyton Chamness- 5; Jackson Konkle- 4; Chandler Breedlove- 2. The Golden Bears will look to their next task at hand Saturday against the Northeastern Knights. Go Bears!
