7th Grade: The 7th Grade Lady Bears traveled to the nether region of Delaware County on Thursday evening for a matchup against Daleville and defeated the Broncos 24-9. After a slow start, the Bears kicked their defensive pressure up and forced several turnovers that led to transition buckets. Daleville’s scrappy play kept MC out of their comfort zone for much of the game but the Bears were able to match the aggressive play and keep pushing forward for the win. Alexa Tinsman led MC in scoring with 11 points. Delainee Whitehead added 10 including a couple of 3 pointers. Harper Whitehead had 2 and Emma Croyle finished the scoring with 1. Scarlett Davis had a solid effort on the boards along with several hustle plays. Solid minutes from Mabrey Cheesman and Alayna Dickson both contributed to the win. The Bears play next when they host the Yorktown Tigers on Monday - GO BEARS! 8th Grade: The 8th grade Lady Bears continued their winning ways Thursday night by traveling to Daleville and defeating the Broncos 57-7. All the girls got quality minutes contributing on both ends of the court. All the girls scored led by Gracie McCreery 12, Landry Taylor 10 , Brynlee Dumpert 9, Izzy McGrath 8, Mati McConnell 7, Mila Morris 5, Lillie Morery 4 and Ada Wagner 2. The team will host Yorktown at home on Monday.
