7th Grade: Monroe Central dropped a tight one to Selma, 31–29. After a sluggish start, the Bears regrouped in the second half and battled their way back into it. A potential game-winner at the buzzer was on line but wouldn’t fall. 8th Grade: The Golden Bears went on the road to Selma for a conference matchup. They had a solid first half going in down 16-15. The Bears came out strong in the second half but some timely shots and defensive plays helped Selma pull ahead. The Bears fell by a score of 44-34. The team was led in scoring by Knox Myers with 20.
