7th Grade: Monroe Central edged Blackford 37–36 in a hard-fought contest. The Bears handled Blackford’s pressure all game, moving the ball well and staying poised on offense. Despite a late push from Blackford, Monroe Central stayed composed down the stretch and did enough to hold on for the one-point victory. 8th Grade: The Golden Bears hosted Blackford to start a busy week. The boys had a slow start and went into halftime down 26-9. The boys played a much better second half but the deficit was too much and the Bears fell 48-31. The team was led in scoring by Knox Myers with 14.
