7th Grade: Monroe Central earned a hard-fought 38–26 win over Daleville, overcoming foul trouble throughout the night. Despite the challenges, the Bears received strong contributions from the bench and stayed composed down the stretch to secure the victory. 8th Grade: The Golden Bears went on the road to Daleville for the first round of MEC tournament play. The bears had a slow start but great second quarter defense helped them to go into halftime all square at 14-14. The score swung back and forth for most of the second half but some timely defensive plays from Ryder Slaven and Parker Morris led to buckets to help the Bears pull away enough to secure the win 34-31. The team was led in scoring by Leum Butler with 18.
