The Varsity Golden Bears were in action Friday night from the Bear Den vs. the Eastern Hancock Royals. The game was fast paced from the start to the finish. Both the Golden Bears and the Royals got going early but the Royals lead at the end of the first quarter 19-15. The Royals did not cool off any in the second quarter leading 42-33 at halftime. The Golden Bears sparked a run in the third quarter but it was not enough take control as the Royals continued to lead at the end of the third quarter 58-49. The Golden Bears fought to the end but fell to the Royals with a final score of 79-69. All team members provided great minutes. Team scores are as follows: Luke Morgan- 23; Ta’Shaun Beatty- 21; Peyton Chamness- 11; Eli Friend- 6; Jackson Konkle- 5; Griffin Gannom- 3. The Bears will be back in action Saturday with a 5:30 tip vs. Blackford. Go Bears!
