The JV Golden Bears went against Blackford from the Bear Den Saturday night. The Golden Bears got off to a slow start trailing 14-6 at the end of the first quarter. The Golden Bears quickly turned things around in the second quarter and went into halftime leading 27-21. The Bruins made a push in the third quarter and reclaimed the lead 33-32 at the end of the third quarter. The fourth quarter was a back and forth affair between the Golden Bears and the Bruins which ultimately resulted in the game being tied 44-44 and going to overtime. Through the overtime period both teams continued to play strong but ultimately the Bruins came out victorious 54-47. Team scores are as follows: Connor Baker 15; Corbin Lester- 10; Weston Grove- 6; Maddox Taylor- 5; Caden Dance- 5; Isaac Middleton- 4; Miles Gross- 2. The Golden Bears will be back in action on the road at Blue River Valley Friday January 30th. Go Bears!
