The 8th grade girls basketball team defeated Driver to advance to Champion game of the Randolph County tournament 48-7. Everyone contributed to the victory by playing complimentary team principals on both ends of the court. Scoring for the game is as follows. Claire Cheesman 11, Landry Taylor 8, Mila Morris and Mati McConnell 7, Izzy McGrath 5 and Brynlee Dumpert 3. The girls will play Randolph Southern for the championship. The grade girls basketball team finished out an incredible year and Jr High career with a 40-9 victory over Randolph Southern. As sixth grader they played up with the seventh grade and went 14-2 and won the County tournament. As seventh graders they were 19-0 and 20-0 as eighth graders capturing both the Conference and County championships both years. With a combined 53-2 record over the last 3 years the young ladies are looking forward to contributing to the future success of the Girl's program. Scoring for the game was as follows. Izzy McGrath 12, Mila Morris 10, Claire Cheesman 7, Gracie McCreery 6, Mati McConnell 3, Brynlee Dumpert 2. Landry Taylor didn't score but played an outstanding floor game on both ends. Also not scoring but playing great defense were Lillie Morery and Ada Wagner. Fantastic job girls and GO BEARS!!!
