Caleb Luedike Leads Monroe Central Varsity Bears Past Daleville By GameChanger Media Caleb Luedike struck out 10 batters as the right-handed pitcher led Monroe Central Varsity Bears past Daleville 5-1 on Thursday. Luedike surrendered two hits and one run over seven innings while walking none. Monroe Central Varsity Bears got on the board in the bottom of the third inning after Carson Siekmann grounded out, and Levi Pence singled to left field, each scoring one run. Bryson Sigler took the loss for Daleville. The starter went four innings, surrendering five runs (four earned) on four hits, striking out five and walking four. Pence drove the middle of the lineup, leading Monroe Central Varsity Bears with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Pence and Myles Oliphant each collected two hits for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. Luedike and Oliphant each stole multiple bases for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. Monroe Central Varsity Bears ran wild on the base paths, amassing eight stolen bases for the game. Sigler and Caleb Aikin were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Daleville. Aikin went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.
