2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears Stymied By Daleville By GameChanger Media 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears couldn't keep up with Daleville and fell 12-6 on Thursday. Daleville opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Daleville first got on the board when Maddie Rees singled, scoring one run. Daleville added two runs in the second after Kyra Osborne doubled to left field. Kyra Brockman doubled to center field, which helped 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears tie the game at four in the bottom of the fourth. A double play gave 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears the lead, 5-4, in the bottom of the fifth. Daleville captured the lead, 6-5, in the top of the sixth after 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears committed an error, and 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears committed an error, each scoring one run. Daleville scored six runs on four hits in the top of the seventh inning. Osborne doubled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Rees tripled, scoring one run, Breyanna Wagner singled, scoring one run, Rylan Leonard singled, scoring one run, and Miley Womack grounded out, scoring one run. Kinlee Taylor opened the game for 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and 11 runs (two earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out four and walking none. Osborne stepped in the circle first for Daleville. The pitcher allowed six hits and four runs over three and one-third innings, striking out two and walking three. Brockman, the number nine hitter for 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears, led the way with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-3 on the day. 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears's Darian Duncan, the number eight hitter, led 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears with two hits in three at bats. Lucy Huston stole three bases. 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears stole seven bases in the game. Wagner and Osborne each drove in three runs for Daleville. Rees went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Daleville in hits. Leonard collected two hits for Daleville in four at bats. Daleville ran wild on the base paths, tallying four stolen bases for the game.
