Haidyn Knott Drives 5 Runners Home In Monroe Central JH Victory Over Daleville JH By GameChanger Media Haidyn Knott drove in five runs on five hits to lead Monroe Central JH past Daleville JH 24-6 on Thursday at Daleville Junior/Senior High. Knott hit an inside the park home run in the first scoring two, singled in the third scoring two, and singled in the second scoring one. Monroe Central JH got on the board in the top of the first inning after Delainee Whitehead singled, scoring one run, and Knott hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs. Monroe Central JH added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Alexa Tinsman grounded into a double play, Whitehead tripled to center field, and Knott singled to center field, each scoring one run. Daleville JH scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. Riley drew a walk, scoring one run, Gabby singled, scoring one run, Whitlee tripled, scoring two runs, and Braylee singled, scoring one run. Monroe Central JH flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring nine runs on six hits to take the lead, 15-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Kendall Johnson on a full count that drove in two. Monroe Central JH scored nine runs on seven hits in the top of the sixth inning. Ellie Lanter drew a walk, scoring one run, Alayna Dickson singled, scoring one run, Harper Whitehead doubled, scoring one run, Bristol Goad tripled, scoring three runs, Brynlee Dumpert drew a walk, scoring one run, Lanter singled, scoring one run, and a passed ball scored one run. Knott earned the win for Monroe Central JH. The righty allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking four. Leah took the loss for Daleville JH. The pitcher went six innings, surrendering 24 runs (23 earned) on 21 hits, striking out two and walking 12. Tinsman started in the circle for Monroe Central JH. The pitcher gave up five hits and six runs over three innings, striking out six and walking three. Monroe Central JH tallied 21 hits in the game. Whitehead, Lanter, Johnson, Goad, Dumpert, and Izzy McGrath each collected multiple hits for Monroe Central JH. Monroe Central JH had patience at the plate, amassing 12 walks for the game. Lanter, Whitehead, Tinsman, Dumpert, and McGrath led the team with two bases on balls each. Dickson and Goad each stole multiple bases for Monroe Central JH. Monroe Central JH ran wild on the base paths, tallying eight stolen bases for the game. Monroe Central JH turned one double play in the game.
