Despite a tough course, the MC Jr High Cross Country teams had great races Tuesday night at Union City. The boys team came in 2nd to Delta with a score of 28-28. The tie breaker 6th runner gave Delta the win. The girls came in 2nd to Delta with scores being 28, 30, and 72 for Union City. Jed Ferguson led the Bears, coming in 2nd place. Alexander Coe finished 3rd and Adrin Milhollin was 7th. Avan Johnson finished 11th overall. Will Hinshaw came in 13th followed by Devin Baker in 17th. Caleb Bailey earned both a mile PR and a 2 mile PR on the hilly 2.1 mile course. Abby Thomas sprinted to the finish, coming in 2nd overall. Abree Ervin finished 4th followed by Brylie Tinsman in 5th. Lilly Moery had an awesome race, coming in 9th by only inches. Brynlee Dumpert came in 14th place. Oaklie Davis finished 20th followed by Megan DeVoss in 22nd place. Scarlett Davis, Avery Kehoe, Hannah Fortreide and Haidyn Dumpert all had PRs for the race. Amaryah Lloyd earned her best 1 mile time as she passed the mile marker.
