Monroe Central Varsity Bears Defeated By Wapahani By GameChanger Media Monroe Central Varsity Bears could not keep up with Wapahani 5-2 on Tuesday. Wapahani were the first to get on the board in the third when James singled, scoring two runs. Monroe Central Varsity Bears scored one run in the top of the fifth on a solo home run to left field by Kyler Bogue. Longfellow earned the win for Wapahani. The pitcher gave up six hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out 14 and walking none. Caleb Luedike took the loss for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. The hurler went three innings, surrendering five runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking two. Myles Oliphant stepped on the bump first for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. The southpaw allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking two. Bogue and Isaac Middleton each drove in one run for Monroe Central Varsity Bears. Luedike led Monroe Central Varsity Bears with two hits in three at bats. Leadoff hitter James led Wapahani with two hits in three at bats. James, James, Hill, and Huntzinger each drove in one run for Wapahani. Andrews stole three bases. Wapahani ran wild on the base paths, accumulating seven stolen bases for the game. Wapahani were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. James made the most plays with 14. Monroe Central Varsity Bears play at home on Thursday against Eastern Hancock in their next game.
