Union County got on the board in the top of the first inning after Addisyn Schneider singled down the left field line, and Reagan Hughes grounded out, each scoring one run. Lucy Huston singled to center field, which helped 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears tie the game at two in the bottom of the first. Union County took the lead in the top of the third. An error scored one run, to give Union County the advantage, 3-2. In the bottom of the third inning, 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears went back into the lead after Haidyn Dumpert singled down the right field line, and Huston grounded out, each scoring one run. 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears committed an error, which helped Union County tie the game at four in the top of the fourth. In the top of the seventh, Union County broke up the tie when Kaiyd Burroughs tripled, scoring one run. Then an error followed to extend the lead to 6-4.
