A home run to center field by Avery Dungan put Tri on the board in the bottom of the first. Tri committed an error, which helped 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears tie the game at two in the top of the fourth. In the bottom of the fourth, Tri broke up the tie when a dropped third strike scored one run. Then a single by Dungan followed to extend the lead to 5-2. 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears scored one run in the top of the sixth on a solo home run to center field by Lucy Huston. Huston started in the circle for 2026 MC Varsity Golden Bears. The starting pitcher gave up nine hits and seven runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out eight and walking three. Dungan began the game for Tri. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and four runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking two.
