The Owls of Muncie Burris traveled to the Bear Den this evening for a JV/Varsity Matchup. The Varsity Golden Bears went into tonight's match a bit nervous but did start to regroup some in later sets. The Owls from Muncie Burris came out victorious 0-3 with scores of 7-25, 10-25, and 12-25. Some mentionable stats from the Golden Bears tonight were from Freshman Izzy McGrath with 3 kills, 1 block, and 1 dig. Senior Raegan Quattlebaum with 12 receptions and 6 digs. Sophomore Mckenna Murphy with 2 aces, 6 kills, and 5 digs. Freshman Alyssa Chalfant with 4 kills and 3 receptions. The Golden Bears will spend the next couple of days practicing and regrouping for a busy week ahead. Next week will bring 4 straight matches back-to-back. The first of which will be when the Golden Bears travel to Elwood on Monday, August 24th. The JV match is scheduled to begin at 6pm.
