The Varsity Golden Bears volleyball team traveled to Union tonight for a conference matchup with the Rockets. The Lady Bears came to play tonight and jumped out to a 2-0 set lead with scores of 25-10 and 25-11. In set 3, the Golden Bears were able to get several new players on the Varsity floor. While the Rockets made some great plays in this set, the Golden Bears were determined to finish it in 3 and did so with a score of 25-23. Some stats to mention tonight begin with Sophomore Mckenna Murphy who had 1 ace, 12 kills, 6 receptions, and 5 digs. Sophomore Maylynn Morrison with 5 aces, 10 kills, 3 receptions, and 11 digs. Junior Bentley Pegg with 1 kill, 29 assists, and 11 digs. Freshman Izzy McGrath had 8 kills, 1 block, and 3 digs. The JV & Varsity Golden Bears will complete their busy week of 4 matches by traveling to take on the Knights of Northeastern tomorrow 8/27/26. The JV Match is scheduled to begin at 6pm.
