The Golden Bear volleyball team traveled to Northeastern this evening for a JV and Varsity matchup. The Varsity team came out strong in the first set and were able to pull out the victory with a score of 25-23. However, the Knights weren't done for the night and ended up pulling out the match win with victory in the next 3 sets with scores of 16-25, 23-25, and 20-25. Some stats to mention this evening were from Freshman Izzy McGrath who had 5 kills, 4 Blocks, and 3 Digs. Freshman Bristol Goad had 2 Aces, 18 Receptions, and 14 Digs. Sophomore Maylynn Morrison had 13 Kills, 12 Receptions, and 15 Digs. The JV and Varsity teams will be back in action on Monday (8/31) when they travel to Randolph Southern for a conference matchup with the Rebels. The JV game is scheduled to begin at 6pm.
