The High School Golden Bear Volleyball teams hosted the Tigers from Hagerstown for a home matchup this evening. The game was moved to Hall Gymnasium due to some humidity issues in the Main Gym. It was a warm evening in the gym but everyone still came determined to play. The Varsity Match also was favored to Hagerstown as they won 0-3 with scores of 11-25, 10-25, and 18-25. Hagerstown was a very solid team to play against and the Golden Bears began competing at their level later in the match. Mentionable stats were put up tonight from Freshman Izzy McGrath with 5 Kills, 3 Blocks, and 1 Assist. Sophomore Maylynn Morrison had 2 Aces, 7 Kills, 6 Receptions, and 3 Digs. Sophomore McKenna Murphy had 3 Aces, 4 Kills, 13 Receptions, and 2 Digs. The Golden Bears will be back in action at home once again on Thursday (9/3/26), when there will be a conference matchup against the Blackhawks of Cowan. The JV game is scheduled to begin at 6pm with Varsity following.
