The Blackhawks from Cowan traveled to the Bear Den for a conference matchup this evening. The Varsity match started out very close and was going back and forth. There were competitive moments throughout the night but the Blackhawks were able to win the match 0-3 with scores of 17-25, 20-25, and 19-25. Sophomore Mckenna Murphy had 10 kills, 5 receptions, and 3 digs. Sophomore Maylynn Morrison had 10 kills and 9 digs. Freshman Izzy McGrath had 7 kills, 3 blocks, and 1 dig. Junior Bentley Pegg had 1 kill, 24 assists, and 7 digs. The Golden Bears will be back in action on Tuesday (9/8/26) when they travel to Winchester for a matchup with the Falcons. JV is scheduled to begin at 6pm.
