The Golden Bears volleyball teams traveled to Winchester tonight for a county matchup with the Falcons. The Varsity Golden Bears went up against a very tough Falcons Varsity squad. This Falcons team is currently undefeated and is ranked quite high in the state for class 2A. The Golden Bears are tackling some new things on the court with having a next ball mentality. It was evident that the girls were working very hard on this. Still, the Golden Bears came up short 0-3 with scores of 10-25, 7-25, and 10-25. As a team, defensively the team had an overall accumulation of 19 digs against a very tough attack. The Golden Bears will be back in action on Wednesday (9/9) when the Tigers of Alexandria will travel to the Bear Den for a JV/Varsity matchup. The JV contest is scheduled to begin at 6:00p.m.
