The Bearcats of Muncie Central traveled to the Bear Den tonight for a JV/Varsity matchup. The Varsity match between these two teams became quite interesting. The Golden Bears are currently down 2 of their starting players due to injury. Regardless of the changes needing made, these girls still came out determined to play with all they had. They found themselves down 0-2 in the first two sets even though they were closely contested. However, the Golden Bears stayed determined and were able to pull off the reverse sweep winning 3-2 with scores of 23-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-18, and 15-12. This was a collective effort both defensively and offensively and the team put together stats of 8 Aces, 35 Kills, 7 Blocks, 35 Assists, and 68 Digs. The Varsity Golden Bears will be back in action this Saturday (9/12) as they host the MC volleyball invitational. Match play will begin at 9:00a.m.
