7th Grade: The 7th Grade Lady Bears earned another great win, defeating the Hagerstown Tigers in straight sets, 25-11, 25-18! The Bears came into the match focused on keeping the energy on their side of the net and increasing their communication. That focus made all the difference as the girls played with great teamwork and energy throughout the match. Cora Greene led the way with 5 aces, 3 kills, 1 assist, and 1 dig. Jovie Dunlap added 1 ace, 2 kills, and 1 dig, while Berkley Taylor contributed 1 ace and 3 digs. Jillian Goad recorded 2 assists, and Hailey Grove and Finley Whitehead each added an ace. The Lady Bears continue to grow and improve as the season progresses. They play Randolph Southern Wednesday. 8th Grade: Your Lady Bears traveled to Hagerstown winning in two sets (25-20, 27-25) Girls showed grit and trust in each other to fight back the second set being down 9-21 to come back and win the game. Your Bears were lead huge at the net by Alexa Tinsman with 13 Kills, 1 Ace, 2 Blocks, 7 Digs. Delainne Whitehead had 7 Kills, 1 Ace, 1 Block, 6 Digs. Ellie Lanter had 6 Kills, 2 Aces, 2 Digs. Harper Whitehead had 1 Kill, 2 Aces, 1 Dig. Mabrey Cheesman 6 Digs. Emma Coyler added 1 Dig. Blakely Burge had 1 Ace, 17 assists. Making them 7-0 for the season. Next match Wednesday at Home against Randolph Southern.
