The Varsity Golden Bears traveled to Knightstown for the Panther invitational on 9/19/26. The Golden Bears started the day facing off with Milan. The Milan Indians were able to get the win 2-0 with scores of 19-25 and 17-25. The next match saw the Golden Bears facing off with conference rivals Randolph Southern. This one was a three game thriller in favor of the Golden Bears 2-1 with scores of 15-25, 27-25 and 15-13. The third match of the day was against the Panthers of Knightstown. This was a solid Panthers team but the Golden Bears put up a good fight but came up short 0-2 with scores of 18-25 and 22-25. The final match of the day was once again the Golden Bears taking on conference rivals Randolph Southern. This time it was all Golden Bears with a 2-0 win with scores of 25-15 and 25-22. The Golden Bears ended the day 2-2 and finished in 3rd place. The team was able to put up some impressive numbers having 66 kills, 21 Aces, 140 Digs, and 11 Blocks on the day. Junior Bentley Pegg and Sophomore Maylynn Morrison were named to the all tournament team. The Golden Bears volleyball teams will be back in action on Monday (9/21/26) when they travel to faceoff with the Raiders of Shenandoah. The JV match is scheduled to begin at 6:00p.m.
