6th Grade: In their best-played match of the season so far, the 6th grade Lady Bears fell just shy of defeating Wes-Del on Monday night. Winning the crucial second set, overall scores were 20-25, 25-20, 10-15. Individual highlights included Preslei Patterson with 8 aces, Lindsey Ulrey with 3 aces, Grace Morris with 2 aces, and Joplin Huddleston with 1 ace. The 6th grade squad will close out their season on Thursday evening in an away match against Union (Modoc). 7th Grade: 7th Grade Lady Bears Defeat Wes-Del at Home The 7th grade Lady Bears picked up a home victory over Wes-Del, winning in three sets, 25-5, 21-25, 15-10. The Lady Bears came out very strong in the first set, only allowing their opponent to score 5 points. We made some lineup changes in the second set to give some of our players valuable time on the court, and the team continued to battle through the remainder of the 2nd set, but came up short. The Lady Bears stayed composed in the deciding set and finished strong to secure the win. Jovie Dunlap led the Lady Bears with 5 aces, 4 assists, 1 kill and 1 dig. Cora Greene added 8 kills and 2 aces, while Hailey Grove recorded 3 aces, 1 kill and 1 assist. Jillian Goad contributed 1 kill, 2 assists and 1 dig, and Finley Whitehead added 1 ace. The Lady Bears continue to grow, compete, and improve with every match! 8th Grade: Your Lady Bears came out at home against Wes-Del and took the win with having to switch up our whole rotation due to an injured Kendall Johnson( 25-20,21-25,15-8) Blakely Burge 2 Aces,8 Assist, 1 Dig. Harper Whitehead 1 Ace, 1 Kill even tripping over her own feet :) thanks for the laugh, Coach Misti needed that today, Alexa Tinsman 1 Ace, 7 Kills, 3 Digs. Emma Croyle 1 Dig playing the right-side hitter, Delainee Whitehead 3 Aces, 2 Kills, 2 Digs. Ellie Lanter playing middle had 4 Aces, 2 Digs. Mabrey Cheesman 1 Ace, 2 Digs. 8th Grade Night is tomorrow for this great group of girls! 15-2 for the season with only a few games left before County.
