7th Grade: 7th Grade Lady Bears Fall to Blackford at Home The 7th grade Lady Bears battled at home but fell to Blackford in three sets, 25-22, 17-25, 10-15. The Lady Bears came out strong, taking the first set 25-22, but Blackford answered back in the second set and carried the momentum into the third. Cora Greene led the Lady Bears with 1 ace, 3 kills and 4 digs. Hailey Grove added 1 ace, 1 kill and 2 digs. Jovie Dunlap had 1 ace and 3 kills. Finley Whitehead contributed 1 ace and 1 kill, while Berkley Taylor recorded 1 ace and 1 dig. 8th Grade: Your Lady Bears played their last home game as 8th Graders against Blackford winning (25-14, 25-6) You girls have grown so much, not just as volleyball players but as incredible young women. Acknowledging the journey you brought, passion, sweat, and grit to every single practice and match. You learned how to bounce back after a tough loss and stay humble after a big win. You turned this gym into your second home through your hard work and dedication to MC Volleyball. Thank you for the practices, the bus rides, the laughter's, the tears we shared, and the endless hustle on the court. You will truly be missed in the middle school program but, we are so proud of you, and we cannot wait to see all the amazing things you will accomplish in the future heading into high school volleyball.
