The Monroe Central 8th Grade Boys Basketball team defeated Blue River Valley, 50-26, in the quarterfinals of the MEC tournament. A good all around team effort and great teamwork by all guided the Bears to victory. A well rounded scoring attack led by Luke Morgan with 20, included Weston Grove with 8,Peyton Chamness with 6, and Gabe McComb and Myles Oliphant with 5. Up next for the Bears is the semifinals of the MEC tournament versus the winner of Selma/Randolph Souther at 10 AM at Blue River.
