Lapel- 17 MC- 5 Isaac Middleton with a 2-3 day at the plate driving in 3 runs. Logan Walker added 2 hits for the Bears. Next game Tuesday, 4/16/24 @ Shenandoah. The Monroe Central Bears faced off against the Lapel Bulldogs on April 15, 2024, and while the Bears scored 5 runs, it was outpaced by the Bulldogs who won at home with a final score of 17-5. The game, part of the regular season, took place on a sunny afternoon at Monroe Central Jr.-Sr. High School. Starting off on the right foot, after the first inning the score was tied 2-2. For the Bears, Cole Luedike crossed the plate twice, while Zane Tinsman, Carter Duncan and Isaac Middleton contributed a run each. Middleton showcased his batting prowess, not only scoring but also amassing 3 RBIs, supported by Levi Pence's further contribution to the scoreboard. The Bears' offensive achievements also included two notable players, Isaac Middleton and Logan Walker, both tallying two hits. The pitching duties for the Bears started off with Mason McCreery on the mound. Zane Tinsman and Cole Luedike came in relief. In a challenging game that tested the Bears' mental fortitude, the team displayed resilience. The Bears will now look to regroup as they prepare to face Shenandoah on April 16 in a game that will be hosted by Shenandoah.
