2022 IHSAA SECTIONAL #16 - CROSS COUNTRY HOSTED BY: DELTA HIGH SCHOOL SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2022 PARTICIPATING TEAMS: Cowan, Daleville, Delta, Jay County, Monroe Central, Muncie Burris, Muncie Central, Randolph Southern, Union (Modoc), Union City, Wapahani, Wes-Del, Winchester Community, Yorktown LOCATION & ADMISSION: - TAYLOR UNIVERSITY: Taylor University Cross Country Course: 7500 E County Road 600 S Upland, IN 46989 - TEAM PARKING: Bus parking will be available as close to the course area as possible. - FAN PARKING: Will be available by the course - $7 TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED ONLINE (https://gofan.co/app/events/722474) FORMAT: - No pre-race meetings - Girls Race - 10:30 AM - Boys Race - 11:15 AM TEAM ENTRY: - The Entry list deadline for boys and girls cross country is October 3, 2022. Please be sure to submit your entries! AWARDS: We will conduct an awards ceremony near the finish line once we have the results of the final race. The Championship Team will receive the Sectional Trophy. Ribbons will be presented to the seven members of the first five (5) teams, and to individual winners placing 1st through 20th. TIMING SERVICES: - PHOTO FINISH TIMING - photofinishtiming@gmail.com - Tom & Mark - 502-741-2225 SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT NOTES: - Dressing room facilities will not be available at Taylor University. - Media members should contact Delta Athletic Office to receive entry into the tournament - Supervision will be provided by Delta High School and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department, if needed. Each school is reminded to provide additional administrative supervision when their school is participating. Misconduct by fans will not be tolerated. - Delta High School will provide athletic training services during the Sectional Tournament. - The TOP 5 TEAMS and TOP 10 INDIVIDUALS who are not on the top 5 teams will advance to the Delta Regional on October 15, 2022 at 10:30AM.
