Monroe Central 29, Indianapolis Tindley 19 The Monroe Central football team improved to 4-1 on the season with a 29-19 home victory over Indianapolis Tindley Friday night in Parker City. The Golden Bears never trailed in the ballgame, setting the tone on their opening drive by marching 59 yards in just six plays, getting into the end zone with a 10-yard touchdown run by Jerimiah Ullom. Monroe Central didn’t look back after scoring two second quarter touchdowns — an 80-yard passing play from quarterback Lane Wilson to Ullom, and a 14-yard fade into the end zone from Wilson to Justus Ullom. Wilson had a strong night, completing 11-of-15 passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns through the air, while also adding a two-yard rushing score in the third quarter. Carter Duncan added a 44-yard rushing play, finishing with a team-best 59 total rushing yards. Justus Ullom had four receptions for 44 yards, while Caden Dance contributed a 33-yard reception. Travis Reed led the Monroe Central defense with an unofficial seven tackles on the night. Elijah Goodspeed had 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble, while Caleb Luedike had a late interception. Logan Horne added a half-sack and Jerimiah Ullom had a fumble recovery for the Golden Bears. Kicker Nick Hendrickson’s night included a 34-yard field goal, which he converted in the third quarter. Monroe Central returns to action next Friday, as it travels to take on Wes-Del. Kickoff in Gaston is set for 7:00 p.m.
