7th Grade: The Monroe Central 7th Grade Boys Basketball team defeated Blue River Valley 39-18 Thursday night to improve to 4-2 on the young season. Another strong second half propelled the Bears to their fourth win on the year. Great teamwork and hustle helped their Bears pick up their second MEC win of the week. The Bears were led in scoring by Luke Morgan with 20 and Myles Oliphant with 13. The Bears return to action on Monday against Muncie Southside in Hall Gym. 8th Grade: The 8th grade boys suffered their second straight one point loss last night at Blue River 51 to 50 in triple overtime. Despite a great effort the Bears came up just short. The Bears were led by Caden Dance with 21 points and Pierceton Erwin with 19. We return to action Monday night in the Bear Den against Muncie South.
