8th Grade: The 8th grade boys suffered a 45 to 11 loss to Selma last night. The boys got off to a rough start and just were never able to get anything going. Caden Dance had 6 points. The Bears travel to Union City Monday night. 7th Grade: The Monroe Central 7th grade Boys Basketball team defeated rival and MEC opponent Selma by a score of 41-29 to move to 6-2 on the season. A great all around game by the Bears pushed them past the Braves to stay undefeated in the MEC. The Bears were led in scoring by Luke Morgan with 21, Peyton Chamness with 9, and Myles Oliphant with 4. The Bears return to action on Monday against Union City.
