Junior High Girls Basketball both defeat Daleville

7th Grade: The 7th grade girls basketball team got off to a hot start on a cold night against the Daleville Broncos leading 15-0 after the first quarter and cruising to a 33-3 victory to extend their record to 5-0. The Bears were led in scoring by Mila Morris and Brynlee Dumpert with 8, Mati McConnell 5, Izzy McGrath and Bristol Goad 4 and 2 apiece from Landry Taylor and Lillie Moery. Ada Wagner played tenacious defense and Gracie McCreery had nice game facilitating the offense. The will be back in action Monday when they travel to Yorktown. 8th Grade: The 8th grade Lady Bears hosted Daleville on Thursday evening and ended with a convincing win, defeating the Broncos 56-14. The Bears got off to a quick start and finished the quarter with a 12-2 lead and never looked back. Landry Taylor led all scorers with 19 points, several coming from steals and fast break layups and offensive rebounds. Lucy Huston and Mila Morris both added 10 points and Izzy McGrath added 9. Gracie McCreery and Elena Simms rounded off the scoring with 4 points each. Evangelina Arrington and Arianna Carroll both played hard and contributed in the win. The Lady Bears travel to Yorktown on December 9th for a road matchup with the Tigers. GO BEARS!!!
