7th Grade: The Monroe Central 7th Grade Boys Basketball team defeated conference rival Shenandoah by a score of 43-30. A strong second half helped the Bears pick up their 9th win of the season and stay undefeated in the MEC. Luke Morgan led the Bears in scoring with 39. The Bears play again on Monday at Blackford. 8th Grade: The 8th grade boys were defeated 33 to 24 last night by a very good Shenandoah team. After a tough second quarter the Bears came out in the 3rd and held Shenandoah scoreless while putting up 8 points to get within 2 points. Unfortunately that was a close as we would get as the Raiders pulled away halfway thru the 4th quarter. Maddox Taylor and Conner Baker led the Bears with 9 points apiece. Great effort tonight after a long holiday break. The Bears travel to Blackford on Monday.
